Talk about a shocker! They always say "death comes in threes", but I never expected this.

Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett succumbed to cancer. Their passing, though sad, was not unexpected. On the other hand, legendary music star Michael Jackson died very suddenly.

Like so many others, I grew up watching Jackson. Of the pop singers and musicians I've seen in my lifetime, nobody has reached the pinnacle he has. A select few like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles may have enjoyed the same elite status, but I was born too late to witness their success first hand.
It's been a full day since I first learned the sad news and it still hasn't sunk in yet.

It was all over radio, TV, newspapers, and the internet. It was also the number one water cooler topic at work today. Oh, who am I kidding, it was the number one topic period. Michael was famous...and infamous. What are some of your thoughts and memories of the King of Pop?
